How It Works
Five Days a Week. One Hour. Live Only. Attend what you can.
Speaking Circles are flexible, low-pressure, and designed for everyday life. Whether you join once or every day, you’ll be practicing with real people in real time—without recordings, grades, or performance stress.
Choose your age group
Adults, Teens, and Kids each have their own circle—with age-appropriate prompts released weekly to spark meaningful conversation.
Join any weekday
Attend 1 to 5 times a week—it’s your choice. Show up when it works for you. No rigid scheduling. No pressure to keep up.
Sessions are live only
Nothing is recorded. You speak in real time, with real people—no playback, no rewatching, and no fear of being archived.

IMPORTANT DETAILS FOR ENROLLMENT
📅 Session Dates: June 9 – September 2, 2025
❌ No Classes: July 3–5 and August 2–10
⏰ Class Duration: Each session is 60 minutes
🕒 Class Timings (Monday–Friday):
• Adults (18+): 11 AM ET & 10 PM ET
• Teens (12–18): 12 PM ET & 9 PM ET
• Kids (6–12): 5 PM ET & 8 PM ET
💻 Platform: All sessions are held live via Zoom
👥 Minimum Enrollment: A cohort must have at least 4 participants to run. If the minimum is not met, we’ll help you find a suitable, age-appropriate alternate group. If none is available, a refund will be issued to Standard or Premium Pass holders.
🟡 Drop-In Access: Valid for one session only and must be used within 7 days of purchase
🟢 Standard & Premium Pass Access: Unlimited sessions in your age group during the summer window (June 9 – Sept 2)
💬 Discord Community: All participants must join our private Discord server for real-time updates, session reminders, and prompt delivery. Parents or guardians must join on behalf of minors.

Who is this for?
Speaking Circles are for kids, teens, and adults who want to build a meaningful relationship with the Telugu language, culture, and communities. Whether you’re reclaiming what was lost, helping your child grow up bilingual, or connecting for the first time—there’s space for you here.
What's included in the sessions?
Each 60-minute session includes:

All sessions are led by Dr. Aparajita, a social psychologist and Telugu language educator with lived and professional experience across ages, cultures, and ability levels.
Do i need to know how to read and/or write telugu?
Not required—but helpful. These sessions focus on speaking and listening, but reading/writing strengthens fluency.

You do however need to know at least the basic vocabulary of spoken Telugu, or be willing to learn them.

What if i miss a session?

Standard & Premium Passes are fully flexible—come once a week or daily.

Drop-in purchases are for a single session and expire 7 days from purchase.
Unused drop-ins cannot be refunded or rescheduled.
Are these language classes?
Yes and No.
Yes, participants will develop their Telugu language speaking skills, vocabulary, and grammar via regular and consistent participation and practice.
No, this is not a full well-rounded language class that covers reading and writing as well. These are live conversation circles, not textbook-style lessons.
But they’re part of our Telugu Language & Cultural Learning Hub (Sri Lalita Kalasala).

What if i am shy? or if my child is shy?
That’s not a barrier. In fact, it’s why these speaking circles were created.
Sessions are built with age-appropriate tools that support both neurotypical and neurospectacular learners. Circle members will be encouraged to, but never forced to participate in discussions. Even regular and consistent participation through listening can help build confidence levels and ease social anxiety, performance anxiety, nervousness and several other conditions.

Can i switch from a Drop-in to a Pass?
